Free Lecture-The Power of Stillness:Cultivating Inner Silence through Meditation

Whether you have practiced meditation or not, anyone can discover the key to deeper concentration, relaxation and personal growth by controlling the constantly changing thought forms running wild in our minds. Dr. Andrew Vidich leads us to discover the stillness as the basis of meditation at a public lecture on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. at Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church, 1900 Bering Drive. The talk is free and open to the public.

Dr. Vidich offers a practical technique of meditation that can positively impact your life. Thinking has a tremendous power in shaping who we are. Every thought, word and deed shapes and creates for us our inner and outer reality. The awakened one Buddha once said, “Everything we are is the result of our thinking.” If this is so then we need to first understand how we can control the constantly changing thought forms running wild in our mind. Second, we need a practice which will connect us to the source of all “Stillness” within which is meditation. You can learn these invaluable tools for helping people reduce stress and gain a deeper sense of fulfillment in life as well.
